The Home Staging Industry Institute was established to advance and strengthen the home staging industry as whole, and to support home stagers in the day to day operation of their businesses. We are funded through a mix of membership dues and targeted services that support our members.

A significant part of our role involves awareness building and advocacy in our goal towards tackling the many challenges professional home stagers face. These challenges include, but are not limited to, downward pressure on pricing while managing high overhead costs, devaluation of the importance of our role within the real estate industry, competitive threats such as virtual staging as one example, and an overall ongoing inadequate level of understanding about the importance of home staging and the expertise a professional home stager contributes towards improving the selling outcomes of residential real estate transactions.
